Fuel System Service

Time and mileage alone are not the best indicator of when the fuel system may require service. Many variables related to how the vehicle is driven, the fuel that is used, and the environment can affect carbon build up in the system.

Fuel System clean and Induction service explanation:

Carbon buildup is a byproduct of combustion. Carbon can cause injectors and throttle bodies to stick or EGR passages to clog which can cause vehicle to not perform well and cause the check engine light to illuminate. Fuel systems, especially those in gasoline direct injection vehicles, are finely tuned and extremely sensitive to deposits that build up on fuel system components. Accumulated residues can cause hesitation, rough idle, poor gas mileage and performance loss.

The features of Repair Revolution’s fuel system clean and induction service:

Repair Revolution’s fuel induction service includes test driving the vehicle prior to the service to verify current performance while monitoring vehicle systems such as the misfire monitor and fuel efficiency parameters. Using specialized equipment, we will induct a cleaning chemical to clean carbon from the throttle body, air intake, plenum, injectors, intake valves and combustion chamber. Deposits will also be removed from EGR passages (intake and exhaust) during this process.

If the vehicles fuel system has been neglected for a long time or exposed to low quality fuels, some vehicles may also require a mechanical re-building of the fuel injectors depending on the severity of carbon buildup. When the injectors are re-built all the seals are replaced, injectors are electrically tested, flow tested before and after service to determine improvements and results will be included in the vehicle service records.

After the service is performed we will road test the vehicle again to test performance and note improvements in our service notes.

The benefits of Repair Revolution’s fuel system clean and induction service:

This service restores fuel efficiency and cleans carbon from inside the engine and fuel system. BG fuel inductions service cleans fuel system by removing hard carbon deposits that can cause: Poor fuel economy, power loss, rough idle, hard starting, pinging/Knocking and increased emissions. The features of this service include: Cleaning fuel injectors, the throttle body, plenum and air intake, intake valves and ports. The induction service will also remove combustion chamber deposits and correct the balance of fuel and air in system.  After the service is performed you will notice restored fuel efficiency, better performance, restored power and a reduction in harmful emissions.
